STRONGER LEADERS + STRONGER ORGANIZATIONS = GREATER IMPACT
Plywood People, in partnership with Alert Giving Fund of Virginia a fund at the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, is launching a year-long leadership development program designed for nonprofit executive directors ready to grow their impact.
This immersive cohort experience supports nonprofit leaders of organizations who are navigating growth, complexity, and the demands of leadership. Through a thoughtfully paced blend of in-person retreats, monthly virtual sessions, relational coaching, and peer learning, participants strengthen both personal leadership skills and organizational capacity.
Leaders will leave with:
A clear growth plan aligned with mission, capacity, and values
Stronger systems, teams, and financial sustainability
Leadership strategies for decision-making, delegation, and staff development
A trusted peer community for support and accountability
Increased fundability and confidence in telling their organization’s story
The program culminates in a live pitch event and organizations that successfully complete the program and present a clear plan for growth will be eligible for a follow-on grant opportunity.
Through facilitated learning, relational coaching, and deep peer connection, leaders strengthen both their leadership effectiveness and their organization’s long-term sustainability.
This is not a workshop series. It’s a leadership journey—designed to meet leaders where they are and walk alongside them through a full year of learning, strategy, and growth with other leaders who understand the realities of the work.
